The baby clothes are sturdy and inexpensive, a great buy. This Amazon vendor has great customer service, very accommodating with an order even though the error was on my end.
adorable! November 27, 2008 J. Kozinn (NY NY) I love these pants! I love putting them on my son. Not only is comfortable but beyond adorable!
Too Cute For Words October 7, 2008 Samantha Testman (NJ) These are adorable and comfortable. My son wears these very often and they stand up fairly well.
They shrunk just a bit and air drying seemed to help.
Since these are so reasonably priced they are definately worth purchasing and are easy to replace when the size needs change.
Good purchase.
Great pants, but run really small July 21, 2008 L. M. Rajt 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
These pants wash well, are made in the US, look really hip with the baggy legs, and are fashionably gender neutral. We like them a lot! My only complaint is that they do run very small. My son is right at the 50th percentile for height and weight, and he was wearing the 6-12 months at 4 months. Now at 7 months they are almost too small ... I imagine we'll have to move up to the 12-18 month size by the time he's 8 or 9 months. So just keep that in mind and you'll probably be happy with 'em.
Adorable, quality, inexpensive pants / One Year of Use and Going Strong May 20, 2008 Elizabeth (Washington State, USA) ***Edited to add that now, in mid-September 2009, I am just now moving these into the hand-me-down pile for my second child. I was shocked, when I checked the tag to place them in the "good hand-me-downs" pile which contains things that are not stained, no holes, no loose threads, not too faded, that they were 18-24 months. My child will be three in October. I thought they looked a little short! Apparently we've been using these for 18 months without a break, and they are still of soft, good hand-me-down quality. They cost $7 each at the time. Wow. I'm buying all my second child's winter play / home wardrobe from this company. I don't mind paying more over time to support American workers on a living wage. The cost of living has gone up for all of us. Bravo to American Apparel.***
This is the fourth American Apparel product I have bought through Andrew Christian on Amazon and as always, I'm very satisfied.
The lightweight cotton is of medium to high quality, and an excellent value for the price (compared to, for example, Target brand and Circo which cost a little more but fade faster). The pants fit on my long-for-weight daughter (two-year-old height, 18-month-old weight) as shown in the advertisement, a bit bigger around the waist but I bought them to grow into. These pants are great for children who are walking but they are wide so they might be hard to wear for a crawler. They also would have ample room to fit over a cloth diaper if necessary although they are cuter over tiny training pants or a thin disposable.
Some colors were out of stock but A.C. sent them to me later with no extra shipping charges.
I should note that I follow the care instructions and wash in cold and dry on low (as for all cotton children's clothes) and have had no shrinking issues. I would agree with the person who reviewed them that if you did try to shrink them, they would shrink uniformly and not only in either width or height, but that is because of the cotton and proper sewing, not due to poor quality.
I would definitely buy these pants and other American Apparel cotton basics again.
